Cambridge English: Movers, also known as Young Learners English (YLE) Movers, is the second of three Cambridge English Young Learners tests designed for children aged 8-11. It’s the perfect next step for children who have completed Starters or have similar English language skills.
Movers encourages children to communicate in more situations and builds on the foundation established at Starters level. Every child receives a certificate with shields showing their achievement—there is no pass or fail!

Understanding the Flyers test structure

Format: One-on-one with a friendly examiner

A friendly conversation using colorful pictures and familiar topics
Traditional format using paper, pencils, and crayons. Children enjoy hands-on activities including coloring and drawing!
Interactive format on computer with engaging on-screen activities. Children use a mouse or keyboard to click, drag, type, and interact with colorful graphics.
Same difficulty, same content, same certificate. The Speaking test is always face-to-face with a trained examiner. Choose the format your child prefers.

There is no pass or fail for Young Learners Movers. Every child who takes the exam receives a certificate showing what they can do in English. This positive approach builds confidence and encourages continued learning.
Children receive 1 to 5 shields for each skill (Reading & Writing, Listening, Speaking). The shields show how well they performed:
